Why do American citizens blindly believe that Bin Laden was killed last month even though there is no evidence?

Every time I question anything the government I'm accused of being a conspiracy theorist or I'm accused of being "unamerican". I love this country. But that does not make me obligated to believe everything the government says. Actually its very American to question the government. Thats what the founding fathers believed. If our government has a history of lying to us, what makes you think that they deserve any credibility? They have not given us any video footage, they have not shown us any DNA test or at least give us the name of the science lab and the scientists who did the test. So in my opinion we should assume that they are lying until the prove otherwise.
