Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Problem?

When I open up my Assassin's Creed brotherhood game, going to the mode select screen freezes then automatically chooses multiplayer. It worked last time I played, and neither the disc nor the xbox have moved since then. I tried cleaning the disc, but I still have the problem.
