Is it just me or has AT&T DSL slowed way down since the announcement of the caps?

I can understand your point, my internet was mysteriously slow for the longest time, I knew they were throttling me. We have the 3 mbps package and were only getting 1.2 on speedtest.net. After the call where we "went through the list" of stupid things (I was ignoring them the whole time, they blamed my router as the cause) it magically popped up to 2.7 on the same testing site. Don;t ever trust at&t's speed test site all it does is is read the mac of your modem and display optimal rates for your package, it never actually tests anything, just makes you feel good about yourself. I don't believe they will ever have a monopoly on the industry because many people hate them. The only reason I have them is because its cheap and I can't afford better since I got laid off. I miss my 15 meg connection with comcast, :(
